HopperThe dimensions of the hopper satisfy the CE requirements. The hopper is tapered to the infeed rollers. The upperside is „open“ whereby the sound level for the user is significant lower. Additional advantage is a low construction that is more safe during driving rearward. |
Infeed system 530 (XL), A540 and A425Designed to grip and take away the most awkward material. Twin horizontal Feed rollers are timed through a precision gearbox which allows the rollers to lock together for maximum grip on small brashy material as well as large timber. A conventional chipper has a motor powering each feed roller – the Jensen has one motor which means the power to each roller is consistently strong whatever the material. For the A530 (XL), A540 and A425 the upper roller describes a radial movement. This means that the wood and branches are pushed to the outside of the flywheel. At this spot the peripheral speed of the flywheel is at the heighest. |
Infeed system A328, A231 und A141 (XL)Designed to grip and take away the most awkward material. For the A328, A231 and A141 (XL) the upper roller is able to oscillate: the upper roller adjusts itself to the diameter of the branches. This means that the infeed channel is always well filled with material whereby a high capacity is assured |
Singel propulsion infeed systemTwin horizontal feed rollers are timed through a precision gearbox which allows the rollers to lock together for maximum grip on small brashy material as well as large timber.Variable speed of feed rollers is controlled on a hydraulic valve block. Variable speed means these machines will feed fast and furious and you can adjust the chip size to meet your exact requirement. |
BladesChanging the blades is simple and saves costs. The blades are placed in a 3º angle on the flywheel. This results in low wearing and a low power requirement. The blades are fixed with hexagonal screws in the bore holes of the flywheel. A special construction on the flywheel supports the back of the blades to get a solid construction. After sharpening the knives several times the distance between blade and anvil is getting bigger because of the 3º angle. By using special shims it’s possible to move the knives custom fit an parallel to the anvil. The blades have a double grinding angle. The first angle of the blade splits and the second angle cuts the wood. This results in a lower sound level an less power requirement. |
FlywheelOutstanding performance on clearing chip. Two blades which cut the full width of the timber mounted on a large flywheel with open tops means there is nothing to hinder the chip leaving the flywheel. Four full width draught fins pick up the material and throw it out of the chamber rather than relying on air to blow the chip. This means clearing green, wet material is simply not a problem and blockages are virtually unheard of. |

Feed ControlsJensen offers two options for feed control. Either the Manual hydraulic system to remove electrics completely, or the 100% vibration & waterproof touch pads together with LED lights for extra safety in the dark (exclusively Jensen). This option offers maximum safety and is very user friendly. |
Comb systemFor high quality wood chips there is a special double disc available with comb system. This system prevents the production of too big wood chips. After the knives have cut the timber, the bigger chips are crushed between the fingers of the comb system. By using 3 blades (in stead of 2 in the standard flywheel) the quality of the chips is assured for using them in high qualified heating and energy systems. |
